Job Summary:
Responsible for all fire alarm and fire suppression system.
Key Responsibilities:
The Fire Alarm / Suppression Technicians is responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Applies and follows the contractual obligations, policies and procedures.
- Follow, imply and maintain all ISO standards and requirements.
- Constant attention must be paid to safe work practices, immediately addressing any unsafe act witnessed to the maintenance manager.
- Follow up the day to-day instruction given by maintenance manager.
- Co-ordinates with co-workers to make smooth operation – giving helping hand when needed.
- Does the necessary spare parts requisitions to the maintenance manager.
- Reports immediately to maintenance manager in case of any defaults in maintenance issues.
- Ensures the high quality of service is provided.
- Proper use of spare parts according to the necessity.
- Proper use of tools according to the work
- Checks the detectors and call points.
- Inspects and tests wiring systems and equipment.
- Fixes faults highlighted by inspections – known as remedial repair work.
- As per maintenance managers / supervisors servicing schedule he does the preventive maintenance to the appliances and equipment’s.
- Maintains high standards of safety at all times.
