The Restaurant Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions, managing cash registers,
and providing excellent customer service.
Competencies
- Minimum 2 years experience in related field.
- Diploma in accounting, business administration or any related field..
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Competent level of English spoken and written
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
General Duties and Responsibilities.
- Efficiently and accurately handle all customer transactions, including cash, credit card, and
debit card payments. - Listen carefully to customer orders to ensure all details are correct.
- Repeat the order back to the customer to confirm accuracy before entering it into the POS
system. - Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the menu
- Double-check each takeaway order against the receipt to ensure all items are included. Pay
special attention to any special instructions or modifications. - Regularly monitor the cash drawer throughout the shift to ensure the float is maintained at
the required level. - Greet each customer with a friendly and welcoming attitude as soon as they enter the
restaurant or approach the counter. - Listen actively to customers’ needs and preferences to provide personalized service.
- Handle any customer complaints or issues calmly and professionally. Aim to resolve
problems quickly to ensure customer satisfaction. - Speak clearly and confidently in English to ensure customers understand the menu options,
prices, and any special promotions. - While proficiency in English is essential, knowledge of additional languages can be a plus,
enabling better service to a diverse customer base. - Maintain a friendly and approachable appearance at all times. A genuine smile helps create
a welcoming atmosphere and can positively impact the customer’s dining experience. - Work in close cooperation with all other team members to ensure a smooth operation.
